Testing for businesses
COVID-19 is in our community. 1 in 3 people with COVID-19 has it with no symptoms, they can pass it on without knowing which is why community testing is really important.
Rapid COVID-19 testing is for people without symptoms, it helps to understand the bigger picture about the reach and spread of coronavirus.
These are testing times for businesses. We are encouraging business to ensure workforces join the programme and help to #StopTheSpread. This is especially important for business that have contact with the public.
You do not need to book a community test and the community testing programme is of no cost to the business or its employees. The sites have capacity to test your workforce quickly and safely. Both testing centres are run inline with the latest government guidance on social distancing so face coverings must be worn at all times. Your colleagues can pre-register for follow up visits, making the process even quicker and there's plenty of help available on site.
If you have a lot of staff to test you might want to talk to us about pre-booking a timed slot for your business at one of the community testing sites. To explore this option please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and your request will be passed to the project team.
People taking part in community testing are asked to have a test at least once a week, ideally twice a week, for up to six weeks. Please return for tests regularly to help #KeepMansfieldSafe.

How to get a test
There is no need to book - just turn up to your nearest site during their opening hours.
What to bring with you
If you have a smart phone please bring it with you, fully charged, to register for your test result. If you don't have a smart phone, staff will be available to help you on site.
Please bring a face covering as you'll need to wear it in the testing centre. Those attending are asked not to bring bags or other items with them that they don't consider to be essential.
Results of your rapid test
If you have a smartphone, after you've had the lateral flow test you can leave the centre. The result from the test will be sent to you by text, usually within 30 minutes.
If you don't have a smartphone you'll be asked to stay at the site until the result comes through.
If your result is negative, it means COVID-19 was not detected on the day. If you and your household do not have any symptoms of coronavirus you can continue to carry on your usual daily activities. We'd ask that you come back each week while your local centre is open to have another test. A negative test is not a guarantee and you should continue to follow prevention measures including regular hand washing, social distancing and using face coverings in enclosed spaces.
If your result is positive you and your household will need to begin isolating for 10 days immediately. You will need to take a PCR test at a local testing centre or at home, your nearest local testing centre for Mansfield is at the Civic Centre car park, Chesterfield Road South, Mansfield NG19 7BH. Find out how to get a test on the government website (opens in new window) or by calling 119. A PCR test gives a more accurate result. If the PCR test is negative then you will be able to stop self-isolating. For information on when to self-isolate and what to do go to the NHS website (opens in new window).
Visit our community testing page for full details about community testing and the process.
Please download the campaign posters and social media assets to use within your organisation.
You can register to order rapid workplace tests if your business is registered in England, you employ 50 people or more and your employees cannot work from home. For more information, go to the government website (opens in new window).
