Clean for the Queen Registration Form

Clean for the Queen will take place from 4 to 6 March 2016 and we want you to join us.

In addition to our annual International Clean Up Day project we want to encourage schools, community groups, businesses and volunteers to get involved in this national campaign to clean up our country in preparation for the Queen’s 90th birthday.

It doesn’t matter how big or how small your activity is, we want to hear from you.

If you would like to take part by organising your own clean up activity, then all you need to do is give us some details on the form below so we can stay in touch and provide support. You can also register on the Clean for the Queen website for more info about what's happening across the country. www.cleanforthequeen.co.uk.

See our International Clean Up Day guidance document, which provides useful hints and things you might need to consider when undertaking your activity. It also details how we can support you in your efforts.

You can share your stories and photos with us on the My Mansfield Facebook page or email them to us at eventsandpromotions@mansfield.gov.uk.

Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration Royal Knit

At this time we are also launching an appeal for knitters of all abilities to come forward to help us to “Yarn bomb” the town centre in time for the Queen’s 90th birthday Street Party on 12 June 2016.

This involves covering inanimate objects such as tree trunks and bins in decorative knitted or crocheted material as a form of street art. We’re thinking union jacks, stripy red, white and blues, crowns, Queen’s heads etc...

We aim to cover as many things in the town centre as possible and need the public’s help to make this happen. Whether you’re a beginner or passionate knitter we need you!

This will be a coordinated project so we are asking for all knitters, makers, school children, community groups and individuals to get in touch to let us know you're taking part. For those who haven’t knitted before, there’s also the opportunity to attend workshops taught by professional knitters.

Get involved in yarn bombing by calling or emailing Sara Brown on 07429 138131 yankeeyarns@gmail.com.
