Be Tidy Together event programme

Week commencing 13 May (for one week)

We will be taking additional household waste on green bin rounds. Put out up to three sturdy, tied bags on your normal green bin day. General household waste only. No bulky waste, hazardous waste, builders' rubble, garden waste, white goods or electrical items. Please note that bags will be collected by a different crew and at a different time to when your bin is emptied. To find out more go to

Friday 20 May to Friday 7 June

We will be offering a limited number of free bulky waste collections. Collection slots MUST be booked by calling 01623 463463 from 13 May. Three items maximum per household and size limits apply. We'll take large items such as furniture but no hazardous waste including paint, rubble, tyres, asbestos or gas bottles.
There'll be a £5 charge for white goods, TVs, microwaves and computer monitors due to the way they must be disposed of.

Top tip: Donate your unwanted furniture to charity. The British Heart Foundation and The Furniture Project are among those that offer free collections of furniture and items in a reusable condition.

Anyone breaking the rules risks prosecution for flytipping.
