We want you to get the most from your parks and green spaces. Whether you're taking a stroll, walking the dog, or taking the children to the playground, we want you to feel good about what you are doing and where you are.
Mansfield has over 150 parks and green spaces. They are looked after by the Parks and Greens Spaces team, volunteers and partner agencies. They are free for everyone to enjoy.
There are many different activities you can participate in on our parks. These include:
- Basketball and netball
- Outdoor gym
- Pétanque (French boules)
- Walking, jogging and running
There are different charges for football, cricket and bowls clubs and for golf. The tennis courts are free to use. For further details please see our Parks Fees and Charges 2016-17 [244kb]. If you would like to make a booking, please contact us.
We have over 50 play areas in the district which offer a variety of activities for children and young people.
Many of our parks are in easy reach of each other and are linked by green trails and footpaths. Parks & LNRs Trail Leaflet [976kb] is useful for planning a trip out.
Toilet facilities are available in our pavilions when they are hired out for events or meetings. Unfortunately, due to anti-social behaviour, toilets are not open to the public.
We are extremely proud of our five flagship parks. Our aim is to provide welcoming, safe and attractive green spaces.
They offer a broad range of experiences and activities for everyone in beautiful, well maintained surroundings. Each one has their own unique features and historical value. Like all our parks, they are essential to our overall wellbeing, environment and cultural heritage.
