- It is important when carrying out risk assessment that teachers give consideration to the measures they might employ such as providing adequate information to all accompanying adults; identifying who takes overall charge in an emergency situation and the ratio of pupils to adults.
- Teachers are reminded that, whilst Museum staff are always at hand, it is the teachers and adult helpers who have overall responsibility for their group at all times.
