The Ceramics Gallery displays the Rachel Manners Collection of lusterware. Why not trace the life of celebrated Mansfield artist William Billingsley, one of the greatest porcelain painters of his time, as he travelled from Derby to Pinxton and Mansfield? The Museum owns a representative sample of his delicate skill, including the justly famous Billingsley Rose.
Visitors will also find an impressive range of beautifully decorated plates, plaques, tea-pots and jugs, including marbled and tortoiseshell Wedgwood examples. And whilst you admire the porcelain, your children can throw their own tea party or design their own plate patterns.
Although Mansfield Museum makes every effort to inform visitors of changes to information and opening times, we are sometimes unable to do so due to unforeseen circumstances - please contact us before making travel and other arrangements to avoid disappointment.
