How do I get involved in the LDF Process?
To be added to the Local Development Framework Database please contact us on the phone number above, email address ldf@mansfield.gov.uk, or write to us at Planning Policy Group, Mansfield District Council, Civic Centre, Chesterfield Road South, Mansfield, Notts, NG19 7BH, and we will add your details to the database.
What is the timetable for the preparation of the LDF?
The Local Development Scheme (LDS) provides a timetable, the existing LDS is under review and will be replaced in the coming months.
What is the Development Plan?
The development plan is a group of documents that planning decisions should be made in accordance with unless material considerations indicate otherwise. It consists of:
- Regional Spatial Strategy for the East Midlands (RSS8) (March 2005)
- Nottingham/Nottinghamshire Joint Structure Plan Review
- Saved Policies of the Mansfield District Local Plan adopted 1998
- Local Development Framework Documents as they are adopted.
Do you provide Planning Guidance on specific subjects/sites?
Yes, the Council produce a number of Interim Planning Guidance documents (IPG's). Currently IPG's have been produced on the following subjects:
- Community Safety by Design
- Extensions to Dwellings
- Recreation Provision
- Shopfront Design and Security
- Hermitage Mill
- Stockwell Gate North
- Affordable Housing
- Former Mansfield Brewery
