Viewing on-line planning applications
Mansfield's on-line planning applications database, is an internet service which provides searchable access to information held in the Council's Planning database system. In delivering a more accessible and informative service, please be aware that application forms plus any accompanying drawings and documents will be made available via the internet. In compliance with the Data Protection Act, we will remove the following contact details, telephone numbers, email addresses and signatures prior to publication onto the internet, but they will remain on the planning register which is a public document.
Viewing Planning Applications
The on-line planning applications database allows you to view Planning Applications lodged with the Council, monitor the progress of an application and access applications the Council has determined. Information is continually updated on the Planning system and is transferred to our Internet server at the end of every working day, this means the information you view is accurate as of the previous working day.
You can also view recent Weekly List reports of Applications Registered and Applications Decided which are produced on a week ending basis with the date clearly indicated. You can also search for information on applications subject to an Appeal.
Full information on planning applications is held in the system from March 2000 and there is also more limited information on applications between 1995 and 2000. Please do not rely on information from this site as an alternative to traditional searches where completeness of information is essential. While we take great care to ensure that the information provided on these Web pages is accurate, we cannot accept any liability or responsibility should you rely on the information provided and ultimately find it to have been incorrect.
If you have any reason to suspect that any information held is incorrect, please contact us immediately by email pbc@mansfield.gov.uk in order that the matter can be investigated. If any corrections are required we will endeavour to make them as soon as it is reasonably practical.
Scanning
The Planning Department scan Planning Application forms, drawings, plans, and supporting information from applications validated and processed by the Council, documents should be available to view within five working days of receipt and before the start of the consultation period. When Planning Applications have been decided the Decision Notice and Approved Plans are scanned and replace previously displayed documentation. Scanned files are linked to the relevant application and are available to view from the appropriate pages in the on-line database, in PDF format. In order to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and following advice from the Department of Communities and Local Government we will remove the following contact details, telephone numbers, email addresses and signatures prior to publication onto the internet, from the scanned forms and certificates. Use the link under the related media heading to view or download our Data Protection Guidance.
In some instances where applications cover issues of a sensitive nature such as security arrangements at secure establishments such as Police Stations, Prisons or Banks for example, plans may not be available to view on our web pages. However they will still be available to view at the Council Offices.
Cookies
This on-line planning application requires cookies to be enabled in your web browser for it to operate. For details of the cookies used please see our cookies page.
Mapping (Geographic Information System)
Our on-line Planning Applications database has links to the Council's corporate mapping system. When you have located the record you are interested in within the database, use the view details link and then the view map button to take you to the location of the application on a map. Please be aware that there will be a pause after the initial loading of the blank browser page before the mapping appears.
Selecting the layers tab will give access to information that you might wish to display over the area you are interested in, for instance Conservation Areas or Listed Buildings.
Whilst in the mapping page if you use the select all icon, the map will display all the planning application records from 1995 onwards and their details will be displayed in the query results tab on the right hand side of the screen. By selecting the link against another record, the database will be opened displaying the details of that application in a new window.
On-Line Comments
If you wish to make comments on a current application these can be submitted electronically using the form in our on-line database or alternatively by e-mailing pbc@mansfield.gov.uk. The time period for making your representations are shown in the details pages of the Planning Applications database as the "Consultation period begins" and "Consultation period ends" dates.
Enforcement Register and Notices
We have improved our on-line database to provide access to the enforcement register and scanned copies of any notices for the past five years. The register is searchable by Council record number and the site address.
Information is continually updated on the Planning and Enforcement system and is transferred to our Internet server at the end of every working day, this means the information you view is accurate as of the previous working day. Information on new Enforcement Notices will be available on-line within one working day of the serving of the notice and the scanned copy of the actual Enforcement Notice should be available within five working days.
