Local Development Framework
We are now preparing a new development plan for the District known as the Local Development Framework (LDF).
The LDF will bring the existing Local Plan up to date to tackle the key issues facing the District. New policies will be included to meet the community's economic, environmental and social aims for the future of the area, particularly where this affects the development and use of land.
The current Local Plan has an end date of 2006, however relevant policies have been saved and therefore still form part of the District's development plan while the new LDF policies are being prepared. For a list of these policies, please visit our The Local Plan page.
Please visit http://mansfield-consult.limehouse.co.uk (our LDF Consultation Portal) in order to view and comment on LDF documents as they are prepared. You will need to register to be able to make comments on consultation documents.
Unlike the Local Plan, the LDF will not be a single document but will be a folder of separate interrelated documents. See below:-

| Warsop Area Action Plan* | This document will establish a planning framework for future development and change focusing on the Warsop area. The document will also allocate sites for development and contain policies on areas of land for protection and enhancement, translating the Core Strategy into specific land allocations and designations |
North and West Mansfield Area Action Plan* | This document will establish a planning framework for future development and change focusing on North Mansfield and Mansfield Woodhouse Area Assembly and the West Mansfield Area Assembly areas. The document will also allocate sites for development and contain policies on areas of land for protection and enhancement, translating the Core Strategy into specific land allocations and designations |
South and East Mansfield Area Action Plan* | This document will establish a planning framework for future development and change focusing on the areas covered by the South Mansfield and the East Mansfield Area Assemblies. | White Hart Supplementary Planning Document* | Site specific document, which provides further detail to existing planning policies in relation to the White Hart Area |
| Annual Monitoring Report | Reviews the progress made in meeting the targets set in the Local Development Scheme and assesses the effectiveness of policies within the LDF in achieving their aims and objectives |
