Ball raises £900 for Framework
A cheque for more than £900, which was raised at the Chairman and Mayor's annual charity ball was presented to Mansfield's Framework branch on Tuesday (15 May).
The outgoing Council Chairman Cllr Sally Higgins and the Council's Managing Director Ruth Marlow presented the cheque for £902.55 to Michelle Hanson, Service Manager at Framework's Sherwood Street centre, Mansfield.
The money was raised at the Chairman and Mayor's annual charity ball held on 23 March at the Civic Centre.
The money will go towards "Framework Mansfield's Appeal" to raise £30,000 to support more residents of Sherwood Street. The aim is to create a new job to support the needs of an increased number of people requiring the homeless service, in order to sustain a more balanced outlook for their futures.
