Four Seasons entrance to close during revamp
The next phase of redeveloping the entrance from the bus station to the Four Seasons shopping centre in Mansfield will begin in the New Year.
A new screen and doors will be added to the entrance, so the new toilets and retail units sit within the shopping centre making it a more pleasant environment for visitors.
During the construction, the entrance will be closed from 5pm on Saturday 14 January to midnight on Friday 20 January. It will then be open as normal from Saturday 21 January.
Shoppers will be redirected to the Stockwell Gate entrance whilst the work is carried out.
The project has seen a complete redesign of the toilets and the surrounding area within the shopping centre. The new toilets opened in November and have been built in a retail unit opposite the old facilities. The old toilets will be converted into two new retail units.
The project has been carried out by contractors J Tomlinson Ltd and is estimated to cost £500,000, which has been allocated from Mansfield District Council's General Fund and Capital Programme fund.
Cllr Kate Allsop, Portfolio Holder for Economic Regeneration at Mansfield District Council, said: "This latest stage of works to the entrance to the Four Seasons will compliment the recently completed new toilet facilities and create a more welcoming entrance for shoppers."
