Christmas and New Year week bin collections

Every household in the Mansfield district will have their bin emptied on the regular collection day over the Christmas (20-24 December) and New Year (27-31 December) weeks, subject to weather conditions.

With Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day all falling on a weekend during the festive period, refuse collectors will carry out their rounds on normal collection days, including the bank holidays.

Green bins

For properties which did not have their last general waste (green bin) collection due to the arctic weather conditions, the Council will be accepting up to three bin liners of side waste with the collections taking place from Monday 20 to Friday 24 December.

Collections taking place during the week commencing 20 December are as follows:

Residents who did not have their recycling (blue bin) collected between 13 and 17 December because of weather disruption, will be allowed to put out extra recyclable items with their bin on collection day between 27 and 31 December. The extra items must be put inside a recyclable container such as a paper bag or cardboard box. Plastic bags and bin liners cannot be taken.
