The weather inside is frightful... at Mansfield Museum!
There's a winter wonderland in store for younger visitors to Mansfield Museum this Christmas time as the Big Chill gets underway.
We can't guarantee a white Christmas but we can guarantee lots of snow inside the popular Leeming Street attraction.
The event offers youngsters the opportunity to have fun:
- Making their own personalised Christmas cards with the multitude of arts and craft material available;
- Trying out the Museum's igloo for size;
- Having a go at ice fishing;
- Wallowing in the indoor snow pit!
Councillor Kate Allsop, Portfolio Holder for Regeneration at Mansfield District Council commented: "All children, no matter what their age, get excited at Christmas time.
"By coming along to the Big Chill at Mansfield Museum, this is giving them the chance to have fun in a safe and controlled, snow filled environment!"
The event runs from Saturday 12 December 2009-Saturday 2 January 2010.
Please note: The Museum is closed from Friday 25 December, Saturday 26 December, Sunday 27 December and Friday 1 January 2010.
