Mansfield District Council manages four working cemeteries and maintains three closed churchyards in our area. It also has joint responsibility for Mansfield & District Crematorium, along with Ashfield District Council and Newark & Sherwood District Council.
Our team of administrative and operational staff can offer assistance to the bereaved, funeral directors, monumental masons and Clergy/officiants. If you are thinking of visiting us for advice or assistance please contact us first, or time your visit between 8.30 am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday. An officer will always be available at these times.

Local Authorities Cemeteries Order 1977

We also hold at the Crematorium the following registers:-
Burial Registers for Mansfield Cemetery from 1850 - present day
Burial Registers for Mansfield Woodhouse Cemetery from 1910 - present day
Burial Registers for Pleasley Hill Cemetery from 1897 - present day
Burial Registers for Warsop Cemetery from 1917 - present day
Grave Registers for all the above cemeteries and respective indexes
Cremation Registers and Indexes for Mansfield & District Crematorium from 1960 - present day.
Regrettably the above listed registers are large and fragile as well as containing information about applicants for funerals and as such it is not permissible to view the registers due to data protection, however the staff at the crematorium are happy to carry out searches on your behalf should you wish and providing reasonable start information is given.
All other manuals, office procedure manuals are available for viewing at the crematorium office should anyone wish to do so.
