Equality and Diversity Consultation
Communication is at the heart of everything we do, not only is it key to strengthening links with local residents, service users, partner organisations and employees, it is a crucial factor in ensuring Mansfield District Council delivers its vision and priorities.
It is vital that we listen and respond to the needs of all our residents in shaping services to ensure that everyone feels informed and empowered and that we consider the diverse mix of our community in our decision making.
We need to provide every opportunity for all residents to tell us what they think and allow us to take action to improve our services
In order to enable residents to contribute to a greater extent in decision making processes, we have carried out a range of consultations to seek their opinions and promote their involvement.
The authority then set a number of key Equality targets as a result of these consultations to improve services. Progress on these targets will be monitored and reported back to those groups involved in the consultation.
