Equality Impact Assessments

This council aims to provide high quality services which are accessible to everyone. In order to achieve this, the authority must ensure that each service area develops equal access service objectives through carrying out Impact and Needs Assessments. These assessments enable authorities to judge the possible impact of their services upon existing disadvantaged groups. To successfully conduct Impact Assessments, authorities need to have data collection and monitoring systems in place and should develop regular consultation and reporting schedules with staff, community and stakeholder groups. The Impact Assessment process will be the basis for target setting and action planning and services will develop related performance indicators which should be seen as part of the 'Best Value' process.

A selection of equality Impact Assessments produced by departments at Mansfield District Council are available to be viewed as PDF documents.
