No tricks for warden's treats

Wednesday 31st October

Neighbourhood Wardens in Mansfield will be getting into the spirit of Halloween tonight (31st October).

Extra spooky patrols are being made in the district to tackle the anti-social behaviour associated with the night, but the wardens are bringing a bit of fun to the streets as well.

Wardens will be donning costumes over their uniforms and any child cunning enough to hunt down a warden on their trick or treat round will get some sweets.

Senior Neighbourhood Warden, Richard Townsley, said: "We want all the kids to have fun tonight and we want to help them to do that. Unfortunately, part of our role tonight is to deal with anti-social behaviour, but I'm hoping for more treats and less tricks."
