Car park lighting and maintenance

All Council owned car parks are maintained and managed by the Town Centre Management Team, which also includes installation and maintenance of all lighting and lamp columns. If you have any questions, comments, or would like to report any defects please use the details at the top of this page. You will need to inform us of the lamp post column number and location if reporting a faulty light.

Car parking fines

If you have received a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) please refer to the information on the reverse for ways to appeal or to pay the fine or alternatively see www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/parkingenforcement

Disabled parking

Patrons are allowed to park in a disabled parking bay, providing their parking badge is displayed correctly. The expiry date of the badge must be displayed.

If the disabled bays are taken, people are allowed to park their vehicles in the other bays. For all Council run car parks - except Walkden Street, Four Seasons, Service Area D and Old Town Hall, Queens Head and Victoria Street - disabled parking in all parking bays is free, as long as the badge is displayed correctly. Privately run car parks may charge.

Regardless of the availability of disabled parking bays, people are not allowed to park on yellow or white lines.

For more information please contact the Town Centre Management team.

For parking in pedestrianised areas, a leaflet is available detailing locations and availability. Please telephone Nottinghamshire County Council Environment on 01623 443939.
