Conditions / Reason for Refusal: REASON FOR DECISION The proposed non-material amendment to alter the windows to the side and front elevations and alter the canopy to the rear, as shown on Drawing No’s 2009-100(A) and 2009/044(A) received 28 March 2012, accords with the objectives of Saved Policy H13 [28/09/2007] of the Adopted Mansfield District Local Plan 1998, meeting the relevant objectives and criteria and the guidance contained within Interim Planning Guidance Note 2 ‘Extensions to Dwellings’. The development will not cause a detrimental impact upon the character and appearance of the street scene and the surroundings in general, or the amenities of the adjoining residents, and there are no other material considerations that indicate that a decision should be taken at variance with the above policy or guidance. Summary of Policies Saved Policy H13 (28/09/07) – This policy seeks to ensure that house extension and alterations would not have a detrimental impact upon the character and appearance of the street scene or the surrounding area generally, or lead to a loss of residential amenity for adjacent occupiers.
