Can I view CCTV footage?

Mansfield District Council uses CCTV to keep our community safe and help the police to detect crime.

What do we do?

The CCTV operators work with Neighbourhood Wardens and police officers in an attempt to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in our district. They follow strict legislation relating to CCTV and follow the pdf icon CCTV Code of Practice [457kb] provided by the Home Office.

The CCTV control room monitors 134 cameras. Each camera records 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We also have 19 cameras with loudspeakers.

You can visit the control room in an organised group and speak to the staff. If you would like to do this please get in touch.
